Cement Conveyor Systems
Montague Legacy Group designs and manufactures conveyor systems for cement plants. We offer a variety of conveyor styles including belt conveyors. Cement is a substance used in construction that hardens and can bind other materials together.
Types of Cement Handled
Mortar Cement
One type of cement that we handle with our cement plant conveyors, mortar cement, is an effective paste used to bind building blocks such as stones, bricks, and masonry units altogether. It fills and seals the uneven gaps between them and sometimes improves decorative colors on walls, and also includes pitch, asphalt, and soft mud or clay, such as used between mud bricks.
Portland Cement(OPC)
Another type of cement that we are capable of handling is Portland cement (OPC). This type of cement is the most common type of cement used in the world and is the main ingredient in concrete, mortar and stucco and non-specialty grout. This is a fine powder derived from heating limestone and other types of clay material using various methods.
Asphalt Cement
Another type of cement that can be handled by our custom made cement conveyor systems is asphalt cement, also known as bitumen, is commonly used in road construction, roofing felt and sealing flat roofs. It is sticky, black and highly viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum.
Concrete Cement
The other type is concrete cement which is a composite material made of coarse aggregate bonded together with a fluid cement which hardens over time. Aggregate consists of large pieces of material in a concrete mix, generally a coarse gravel or crushed rocks such as limestone, or granite, along with finer materials such as sand.
Other types of cement we deal with are sand (wet or dry), gravel (wet or dry) and many others.
Concrete Belt Conveying
Our concrete conveying systems can be made to fit your specific needs and ever-changing application needs. Montague's systems are made to be interchangeable and flexible to different types of cement or materials whether it is light concrete (wet or dry), Portland cement (ventilated), mortar, sand (wet or dry), gravel (wet or dry) and asphalt.
Considerations for Concrete Handling
- Take into account the length of your conveyor belt. The conveyor belt should not be too long in order to avoid mix alteration
- Employ the use of cement mixers and funnels to prevent mixing issues and to keep a consistent mix throughout. One must consider taking input and output steps
- We can provide specific cleaners to ensure that your operations run smoothly with no downtime
- If you decide to go with an inclined belt design, then one must consider water loss as a potential after-effect.
Common Types of Cement Handling Products:

The process of handling cement poses unique challenges due to the material and the facilities themselves. With a focus on bulk material handling and extensive industry experience, Montague Legacy Group has the capabilities to develop a custom material handling system that will not only take into account the material being handled but the specific needs of those using the system as well.
